You heard right. BT’s summer tour which also featured Particle, Dan the Automator and others has been cancelled. Find out what BT had to say about it right here.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, BT has cancelled his summer tour. The following city concerts were cancelled: Seattle, WA; Denver, CO; Chicago, IL; Royal Oak, MI; Pittsburgh, PA; Philadelphia, PA; Worcester, MA and others.

Here is the press statement from the organizers:

The ‘United Beats of Peace’ (UBoP) North American music tour has been forced to postpone its inaugural run until 2005, due to circumstances beyond its control.

The producers wish to express their respect and thanks to all the artists, partners and promoters who contributed to and supported the development of UBoP and its positive message of peace and unity.

Here is what BT had to say to his disappointed fans:

Hi everyone,

I have received the [above] press release and I am very sad to report that the United Beats of Peace tour is not going to be happening and that all dates have been postponed.

As you all know, I’ve been wanting to go back out on the road with the band for 3 years now and this package tour looked like it was going to give me that opportunity.

I can’t tell you how upset I am that it won’t be happening and hope that there will be another chance to get the band together and out on the road in the near future.

I will keep you informed of when I am going to be back out on the road, which hopefully will be soon.

Respect,
BT

The reasons could be anyone’s guess. Lack of interest? Poor marketing/advertising? Illness? Who knows? If anyone has more details, be sure to post here
