DMC America had to cancel the US championship because the venue was near the World Trade Center. DMC invited two US teams over for the battle in London. The teams include a US/Canadian alliance with the Funky Technicians and an all American team, Super Friends.

The DMC/TECHNICS WORLD FINAL on SUNDAY delivers 28 DJs who will be eliminated in a Sunday afternoon session leaving 12 DJs in the gold-deck rush. This year they battle for the title without a defending champion in their way, (Craze won three times before handing in his stylus and will now be part of the Perverted Allies chasing his fifth world title having won the Team with A-Trak last year).

The world's premier turntablists will all meet on Friday night at a DMC London hotel where they will spend the weekend. Many will bring their turntables to continue practising non-stop in their hotel rooms.

On Sunday everyone will join the newly crowned World Champion, the Supreme Champion and the new Team Champions at a private party. On Monday those not rushing back to their country will be invited to join DMC and it's 30 international agents in a farewell lunch.
