Jumpstarted by a cosign from the world’s biggest popstar, Chicago duo Louis The Child are the new rulers of the dance-pop kingdom.

The teenage tandem catapulted into the big leagues last fall when their vibeyvocal singalong “It’s Strange” featuring croons from songstress K.Flay was added to Taylor Swift’s personal list of ‘new songs that will make your life awesome.’ “It’s Strange” quickly climbed the ranks to #1 on HypeM and #2 on Spotify’s viral chart, as well as getting picked up by EA Sports for the FIFA 16 soundtrack. This week, Louis The Child dropped the official music video in which K.Flay leads us on an animated journey into an ultra-saturated dreamscape of green screen fun. The video’s strange world is replete with bouncing city skylines, frolicking horses, dancing TVs, life-size butterflies, flickering rivers of fire, and even joyful dragons.

Today, January 15th, Next Wave Records / Ultra Records releases a 20-track remix package for “It’s Strange” featuring reworks from artists including The Knocks, Bee’s Knees, Candyland, JackLNDN and CRNKN, with artist proceeds from each $3.99 sale benefiting the nonprofit Kiva which works to connect people through lending to alleviate poverty. Grab your copy of the remixes here.

Louis The Child’s mellifluous catalogue of grooves speaks for itself. Last year the pair of full-time students reupholstered Kaskade’s “Never Sleep Alone” into a shimmering, synthesized opus of uptempo beats, and just this week they dropped dreamy reworks of both Ty Dolla $ign’s “Blasé” and MiikeSnow’s “Genghis Khan.”

After wrapping up their 20+ date headlining North American tour later this month, Louis The Child will stay busy putting the finishing touches on their debut EP due out this spring. And with forthcoming performances at Coachella, Governors Ball and BUKU Music + Art Project, it won’t be long until these rising stars are the leaders of the pack.
