The Game, aka Jayceon Taylor, was born in Compton California and is a survivor of gun shot wounds. The Game turned to Hip-Hop after two of his brothers were killed by the gun.

Although "The Documentary" has been the strongest debut since U2's "How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb", it falls short of fellow G-Unit member 50 Cent who sold about 900,000 copies in his 2003 release.

The Game worked with Dr. Dre, Kayne West and Just Blaze on producing tracks for "The Documentary" which also features performances by Nate Dogg and 50 Cent.
