(Press Release) Moving 10 million units was not enough. Turning the dance world upside down with their big, brooding electronica was not enough. Countless remixes for fellow trip hop and Big British house mates was not enough. After an open-ended sabbatical, Maxi Jazz, Sister Bliss and Rollo are back and igniting international dance floors and airwaves anew.
The new album The Dance, dropped on May 17th through Faithless’ own label Nate’s Tunes. Maxi describes as “chock-a-block with dance tunes which we hope will be the soundtrack to many Saturday nights for a while to come.” Given the breakout success of the first single Not Going Home (May 3rd), it's impossible to dismiss that purely as hype. Already Pete Tong’s Essential New Tune, "Home" is a stadium-like club symphony that has been shortlisted on DJ play lists all over Europe. Fans and critics alike have been swooning over their live performances as well.
The first single "Not Going Home" (May 3rd), already Pete Tong’s Essential New Tune, is a stadium-like club symphony, a 7 minute sonic call-to-arms; Feel Me pulls vocals from synth-poppers Blancmange’s 1982 track of the same name, turning Neil Arthur’s voice into the cries of a maniac with a mic; "Crazy Bal’heads" is chilled post-club perfection; and Faithless family member Dido lends her shimmering tones to "Feeling Good." Also getting in the vocal booth for tracks on the album The Dance are Dougy Mandagi (The Temper Trap), Itch (The King Blues) and classical singer Mia Maestro.
Their influence from being at the top of the pile for a decade and a half is easy to spot these days: think Calvin Harris’ recent number 1 or the countless tracks with a house groove, riff and rapper, Faithless’ signature sound adopted by many, bettered by none.
The latest single "Tweak Your Nipple" drops on Tuesday July 20th including exclusive remixes by Tiesto and Rollo and Sister Bliss.
"Tweak Your Nipple - RADIO EDIT"
"Tweak Your Nipple - TIESTO REMIX" (exclusive to iTunes)
"Tweak Your Nipple - ROLLO AND SISTER BLISS MONSTER MIX" (exclusive to iTunes)
The full Faithless live experience exploded on stages around the UK throughout May with five special fan shows before a festival run which included V Festival, T in the Park, Oxegen and Global Gathering.
Faithless will be continuing their triumphant return to world stages and airwaves all summer, making it abundantly clear that the whole "New Rave" thing is not just hype.
