The last big music festival of the summer has finally announced its lineup! This year marks the 20th anniversary of the first Lollapalooza, originally conceived by Perry Farrell in 1991 as a farewell tour for Jane’s Addiction. Lallapalooza always manages to bring it. Last year, the three-day event featured the only festival appearance by Lady Gaga as well as comeback sets by Soundgarden, the Strokes and Arcade Fire.
The headliners for the 2011 version of Lollapalooza will include Eminem, Muse, Foo Fighters (making their Lollapalooza debut) and Coldplay (who will likely use the opportunity to preview some new songs from their upcoming fifth album. There will also be appearances by My Morning Jacket, Cee Lo Green, A Perfect Circle, Deadmau5, Bright Eyes, Arctic Monkeys, Big Audio Dynamite, Cage the Elephant, Grace Potter & the Nocturnals and dozens more!
The festival will take place from August 5 to 7 at Chicago's Grant Park.
