If you are anything like me, your head has been exploding over the thought of an actual sequel to 1982's TRON. So if you really haven't heard all of the buzz, on July 23rd at Comic-Con, Disney reveled that the sequel entitled "TRON: Legacy" had finished filming and had about a year left in post-production. It will also be an IMAX 3d experience. Jeff Bridges also explained the title's meaning: "It's basically a story about a son's search for his father."
What was completely stunning was the absoutlely perfect selection of Daft Punk as the composers of the film score. The dynamic duo of Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo and Thomas Bangalter have since completed 24 tracks for the film. During the Comic-Con panel, the director Joe Kosinski was asked why he decided to use Daft Punk. His reply: "How could you not at least go to those guys?". He's totally right. Daft Punk are TRON.
Like many of my friends and colleagues, you might have missed the recently updated concept trailer. You need to see it now.
