Bjork has released the single "Hidden Place" and finally confirmed her latest world tour, with a twist. You won't find her performing in any stadium or arena this time though. Bjork, searching for only the best in acoustics, will be playing at opera houses and concert halls. The tour will flow through the Grand Rex (Paris), Hegelsall, Stuttgart and the Metropole, Lausanne, and London's home of the English National Opera. In the US, Bjork will begin at Radio City Music Hall and end at the Dorothy Chandler Theatre in Los Angeles.
The tour's purpose, of course, is to promote her new album Vespertine, due out on August 28th. According to Bjork.com, the album is "a breathtaking and eclectic mix of bleeding edge electronica, lush orchestration and choral voices."
Bjork will also perform at smaller venues with maximum capacity of 300. More tour dates will be released for Europe, Japan, and Iceland in the coming weeks. Keep an eye at bjork.com for more.
