The Arctic Monkeys are the first headlines to confirm June 2007's Glastonbury Music Festival. Although the confirmed list is a closely guarded secret, festival organizer Michael Eavis slipped that they will headline the main Pyramid stage.
Says Eavis of the 'error', "I rather let it slip that the Arctics were playing. They're a fantastic band and will be one of headline acts. I saw them a few years ago at the Brixton Academy and it was one of the best gigs I've ever been to. Everyone went ape."
Eavis also continued his clever leakage by revealing Bjork's involvement as well as 'the biggest band in the world'. Was anyone's guess at the time, now confirmed as 'The Who'.
Tickets go on sale, and the full list will be revealed on April 1.
