Apple may soon offer its iTunes music service to customers with an unlimited access for downloading songs across multiple devices. The company is negotiating a deal with music companies including Universal Music Group, Sony Music Entertainment, Warner Music Group Corp and EMI Group Ltd.
The arrangement would not only give users more flexibility in how they access purchased music, but provide a permanent backup of music purchased through iTunes. It would also allow the backup downloads to iPads, iPods and iPhones that are linked to the same account.
