Made possible by over 4,000 kickstart backers.
An entire album from Richard D. James, aka Aphex Twin, was set to drop in 1994. Unfortunately, that never happened until 2014 when a seller listed the album for sale on Discogs asking for a huge price. However, before it was sold, Mr. James and Rephlex Records agreed to launch a kickstarter and open up the album to a wider audience.
The program allowed any backer who contributed $16USD to receive a lossless digital copy of the every track on the officially unreleased album. The goal was $9,300 but in the end raised over $67,000. The test pressing itself is being autioned on eBay. At the time of writing, the bid is up to $10,750.
