I make all my tunes from the ground up and no samples are use, not that i have any thing against sample users i just cant use them creativly enough and you dont have as much flexibility as MIDI. I use FL, Ableton live M-Audio edition and Sound forge. I use mainly free vst(i)s to make my sounds, whats the point in paying for something when there is a free equivalent to it?! Well thats me mostly but if you have any other questions just ask me! :)
