The Lonely History Of Blodders Discovery of Dance Music

As a quasi indusrtial goth/ rocker i was introduced to the wounders of electonica though FCB's Excaliber and Brainbugs Nightmare back in 1998 by my best mate, with him i surfed napsta in search of that wonderful base feeling, with out a giding hand we found our selves in the world of Comercial Dance and trashy trance with the likes of ATB, Brooklyn Bounce, 666 and Mr Van Dyke... just to name a few of the better artists. by the end of 2000 we had started to play with Mp3 DJing, Good ol mix vibes, the idea of pitch controll was still unheard of to us. he departed on a year long sojurn and left me find my own way.
About mid 2001 i first got my hands on to two cdjs and djm600... that was it, i was hooked. i span tunes all night till the sun came up from then on it i was on the path to financal ruin. by the end of 01 i had bought a mixer and a Cdj, and with the aid of my computer i would keep the tunes pumping at meny a house party. buy then i had moved to geelong a regonal city that only new pop and rock. a real set back as to this day there is only one place to buy vinyl.

the urge to go further took hold, still with very few friends interested in dance i had to find my own way. by christmas 2002 i had saved enough for some turntables and couple of vinyls, by then i had tasted hard house, after eight months of trying to teach my self to mix i met up with a techno head that could spin. i gain a little knowledge and developed a liking for techno... at a same time i was elected as rec office of my campus and was given an oversized budget to do with as i pleased.
so i ran a few parties FuseD and Cailm before the Storm. i made one big important discovery Geelong was not ready for dance.
at the end of 04 i up rooted my self and moved to sydney for work. here i found InternetDJ and stated to really see the scene and taste clubing. and as my tastes mellowed a bit i got in to funky house. what lies head who knows... all i can say is it will be good.
cheers
edde
