When you drop a track and everybody�s going mental, screaming at the top of their lungs and vibin� off your music, and your vibin� off them, there's no better feeling in the world." Growing up, Zol always had a passion for music. Just like the music he's spinning now, he never limited himself to one style. Hailing from Los Angeles, California, he was influenced by many different styles of music. From hip hop, heavy metal, punk rock, ska, jazz, all the way to classical. Always looking for an escape, he found music the perfect way to vent his energy. In 1997 he stumbled onto the LA underground and realized what he was born to do. Soon thereafter, he got a pair of decks and a mixer and started his journey. Zol resided in Budapest, Hungary for seven years captivating Europe with his signature West Coast sound under the name Joe Varga. Zol spins an eclectic mix of TrancyBreakBeatFunkyTribalTechnoAcidElec troHouse, spicing it up with some scratching and technical turntable wizardry to turn the crowd into a frenzy. Whether performing at an underground rave in England, a super club like Pacha in Spain or huge venues like the Budapest Parade in front of 800,000 people, he always delivers with his energetic hands-in-the-air genre defying sets. In 2000 Zol and his brother Steve (aka Syndrum) who provided live drums alongside his sets, founded Prescription Events and started promoting parties of their own. Over time, with its steady group of loyal partygoers going from event to event, they infected more along the way and Prescription Events became a staple in the Hungarian underground. Constantly pushing the envelope to bring you a better event, the Prescription crew always guarantees a quality party with a top-notch lineup. Zol is currently back in Hollywood rocking the decks and spreading the sounds of his innovative production. He is truly as passionate about the music he plays as he is entertaining the crowds he plays for.
