More about me:
I am an expert in giclee printing. A giclee (pronounced gee-clay) is a relatively new form of art replication. They came into their own in the 1990's with the evolution of the digital computer age.

A giclee canvas replication merely must be seen to be completely cherished. Words alone cant completely describe how impressive its and fine art galleries across the country are raving this kind of art replication.

Giclee prints render deep, saturated colors and have a fine-looking quality that retains minute detail, subtle tints and mixes. Each brush stroke of the initial painting is evident. While, giclees use inkjet technology, this is far more sophisticated than your desktop printer. Each employs six colors--light cyan, cyan, light magenta, magenta, yellow and black--of lightfast, pigmented inks and finer, more a lot of, and replaceable printheads resulting in a wider color gamut, and the capacity to employ respective media to print on.

Giclees are produced from digital scans of existent art. This produces a whole new vibrant medium for prints from slides, exceptional quality and detail in both color and black and white enlargements. They may be printed on any number of media, but mainly in canvas and paper. Giclees are superior to traditional lithography in nearly each way. The colors are more magnificent, last longer, and are so high-solution that they are virtually 'continuous tone', instead of tiny dots.

Giclee canvas art products
are a win-win for everyone, artisan and gatherer. They make good quality art low-cost for everyone, and the artisan may have multiple low-cost giclee images to sell of frequent paintings, which successively escalates the price of the initial. They are produced one at a time. They are their size, this intricate printing process may take up to an hour or more for each print.

Sizes of a giclee may vary somewhat depending on the initial painting. Giclees are superior to lithography because their colors are more magnificent and last longer. These prints make wondrous, thoughtful, unique gifts. A giclee print has all the vibrancy and detail of the initial but is priced at 10% of the initial, for the same size. For the gatherer, giclee prints are an graceful addition to any works that one may have on paper.

Giclee prints are found in museums, art galleries, and private collections worldwide. They were in the first place produced as a proofing system for lithograph printing process, but it became evident that the presses were having a hard time delivering the quality and the color of the giclee proofs. They evolved into the darlings of the art world.

From time to time, giclees are used when the initial painting is too fragile for exhibition since they render very nearly to the initial work of art. They seldom exceed over a hundred reproductions especially since they are produced one at a time.

Artists at all levels and in a wide potpourri of media are creating prints using giclee technology, and more are discovering digital printmaking day after day. Buyers, attracted by the high quality and dynamic replication of giclees, have triggered a giclee explosion; while the fine art print market increases by in regards to three percent every year, the giclee market is growing at more than 60 percent every year.
