hey guys! i need real help here! first a bit of the history that i dont know very well..but..imagine Mozart composing with 5 years old..he probably didnt had an idea for what to do..he probably pushed piano keys till get something harmonical/pretty/rythmic etc. cool enough for him.. well..this is the way i do my music.. When i start a track ive no idea of whats going to come out..i just push buttons knobs and faders till i get something that i consider cool enough for me... if pleases the public...better........
NOW! the main question.
Ive just uploadd a new track that i cannot classify a genre for it and i realy would like you ppl to give your opinion about under wich genre should i calssify it! im not asking for real review or rate...im not asking for you to say if you like it or not..im just asking you to give your opinion under wich genre should it be and give your reasons for your choice in order to me understand your point of vue...
I cannot classify it cause the kick and bass seems near to Progressive House (if only it would be faster) but the percussion is more DnB/Jungle and synths more Psy/Progressive Trance..so..im confused with it :S ....btw this track was made at 180bpm....if it matters??!!!
So guys i hope you can help me here cause i realy would like to assing it a genre..cause it will be part of my next "album"... please give me some feedback here in forum or in track page and dont forget to state your reasons for your genre choice in order for me to understand... if is not asking too much!
here´s the link to the track -> http://www.internetdj.com/artists.php?op=songinfo&mediaid=70326

Jezz man..how are you? ..Well.. i see you must be tired of so great help! looooool cuz in a site with so big and good producers and labels (as they say)..and give each others so many 10/10 on their great tracks.. and you have no reply to this..there are only 2 conclusions...1: they dont want to help ...2: they have no idea ........ me .. like i said to you, this is not classifyable.. you must invent a genre for it.. try Slow House... lo00ol0l0ol.. Take it easy man..Cheers!
Well i bet on first conclusion... nobody want to help.. but btw DjCandeeFlip gave me his opinion he says its a cross of triphop/techno/industrial among others...eheheheh... still i think everybody is shitting on me.. like.. the entire world..see what i mean?!!..one of this days society will drive me to suicide again...ppl believe they are dominating the beast but cannot see they are just creating it.. tkx for your support Alienoiz... ill probabloy try to bet on Industrial ....well...the same ...

Your track, in my opinion would be classified as Minimal Goa/Psy Trance with a touch of trip hop! I like the unique sound you had going. It really was a refreshing track, i love the trippy shit and think it has its place in parties.
What do you make your tracks on? Because I also start pretty much the same way you do with tracks, i usually go bass and synth first with no direction., what ever sounds good to me is what is use, I also manipulate patches alot and create my own. I use a mc-909 and mc-505 to make my patterns with. And usually use two different songs to create one song with live mixing. I thinkg that the live mixing is where i get my power. Hehe.
side note. I have noticed a hint of clickyness on this site, no disrespect to anyone reading this. I just feel it is hard to grab your spot on this site, unless you spend alot of time on this site and become well known to the regulars. I have alot going on and usually don't get to spend alot of time on the site. But I do love this site, even if only a few people listen to my tracks. I write music for myself and the people, when I am mixing and playing my boxes, I imagine a party going on and try to feel the imaginary crowd! funny huh. But it works and I get into it big time, so if one person hears it, then i am happy and thanks you Internet dj for this oppurtunity.

i agree with soundprof, definately has elements of goa/psytrance with a fusion of industrial/jungle drums but its definately unique which imo is really cool
i also agree about the time you have to dedicate to this site to get noticed. You pretty much need to review other tracks if you want your stuff reviewed but you cant really use this site for exposure, I think of it more as a tool to get some pretty good indepth criticism on your tracks which I think its just as valuable as exposure and leads to it. -

hi! first of all Tkx for your support i realy am having troubles to classify this ..anyway... i start music by making loops in a groove ..then i add a bassline to them in Cubase...(first with any kinda synth)..then i choose whats the best bass to it (imo)..then i add fx and lifters and only in the end melody and pads..thats why most of my music has lack of melody for what they say (cause when is time to add it the track is already full)(but im trying to solve the problem)...about getting a spot in the site..well..ive feeling the same..it looks like are always the same guys reviewing the same guys with high rates (and i already listtened very good songs that also deserve a spot in charts or what else but they dont even get a review (i normaly review the tracks i listten to)..anyway this is common everywhere..you must realize this is a social network..you must get inside and hope to be accepted (i was not very well and i dunno if im now... anyway im still here although i made the knot today i didnt suicide!...Tkx -

hey man! tkx for advice..ill put the track under minimal trance then but ill delete it first..it will be part of my new album that is on construction .. most of tracks are dnb/jungle but the name of the album will be XPTO eheheh cause its what it is an experience of rythms, melodies, etc...(thats why this track came out like this :S) im glad you liked it.... i also have something more to say about the "spot" in the site...sometimes is very hard to understand cause most of reviews are only discription of the track or "level this levels that" or "i like this, i dont like that" cause most of reviews is made by amateurs and amateurs dont have the knowledge enough to review a track properly.. in the other side.. the pro producers here only review the "pro" tracks of their pro fellows..thats why i say its hard to develop under this guys ..still im very pleased of this site and ive nothing against the way it works ..i just wanted to be more respected and helped sometimes like in this case (man i was loosing the hope of having more opinions)..Tkx!

"my music has lack of melody for what they say (cause when is time to add it the track is already full)(but im trying to solve the problem)"
I know this problem to well cause it was mine for so long. I used to have just a 505 and this was my problem. I solved this problem by getting a mc 909, making a whole new pattern that also wouldn't be able to stand alone, but when sync'd by midi clock, its different. Then I play the tracks live, mixing the sounds back and forth, using both patterns to build and break out of one another. I make a 8 measure pattern on both boxes,so the sequencing is done on the fly which makes my problem fixed. I don't know if you can do that, but you might be able to mix two songs together to make one some how. It would be nice if you could take the individual tracks in your patterns set them up in a live pa style, while recording, and play them live, using the levels and mute settings, fx ( maybe on a midi controller) , you can get some awesome combinations this way. Hope this helps.
