Hi Guys...why the new trend of the disco is changing the picture of the dj??why the dj if he want to play need to bring people in the disco making a list???this is a Fucking new sysyem!!!I don't like it!!!I'm born as a dj and i make only my performance on the turntable but i don't make a public relation man for guest the people to come in the disco and if i don't bring nobody i can't play music!!!shit!!!

Hehe, at my place the problem isn't the list, it's different, dj's are underrated, dj'ing in my part of Croatia is like you are working in stone mine. Tbh the scene is very low, ppl and music sux, very few of us still hanging around with electronic music, most of others went to hell with their (turbofolk)- can't call it music
, very few still dj'ing for piece of sh..-nothing.
I wish i could go back in 1999/2000 year, those years were much better for the dj's definitly. -

Unfortunately this story is seen only in these parts ..and if you don't sell tickets you can't play..then I've decided to abstain from this trend and to organize parties for myself!

this i have noticed. good observation.
i think its pathetic also, fair enough invite your mates and everything but in all honesty - its not our jobs to get the crowd in.. our job is to get the crowd moving once inside... its the stupid promoters that need to get the numbers (which might i add majority of the promoters here in sydney are as dumb as bat shit) -

more and more djs are promoters
in melb there are a lot of smaller clubs and bars where the djs are also the event organisers... ie me and most of the nights i play at.
often we don't get paid and nights are generally run for fun more than anything else. any money we do get (if there is anything, it goes in to paying guests dj or drinks for the guest djs)
