The Way Remix by royale |
| percussion and effects in the intro are nice, try to remove that watertube reverb from your bass sounds though, maybe switch up the kick with something taht has more bang, and lower down the hats a bit. groove is nice. great breakwork and scratch samples, along with the vox. at 1:22 the bassline that kicks is very nice. Overall your instruments could use some better volume adjustments and compression settings if you reall want to make this a hot track. Also try experimenting witha bit crusher over your basslines, might give it that resonance that its missing. Overall it a good track, nothing too bad yet nothing too exciting, really its the mastering that brings it down the most. I hope i helped out a bit, keep rokin reviewed on: 2006-07-11 06:38:22 |
Lost Memories by Spitfire |
| intro is a wonderful start, great effects and bringin in that echo vibe, really sets the mood in the track. Bassline is a bit too distorted, could be cleared up a bit. The old skool drums are wiked, great vibe u catch, just try to control those low frequencies (bass sounds) from going out of control. Very atmospheric track, great release at 1:40 where it settles into a breakdown and rises back up. 2:18 really has a nice bassline, very phat sound. Mastering overall could be improved, try to keep everything on a compressor and EQ, take your time in adjusting ever little instrument. The higher frequencies could be brought up more (the treble and high mids) by just a little bit to give the track resonance. Overall its a good track, pretty dope track but could be alot better with a lil more elbow grease, keep rokin reviewed on: 2006-07-11 06:34:41 |
As I Gaze At The Nebula by The Former AKA |
| intro u got a nice deep start. The bassline seems too have too much reverb bass, try to eliminate that watertube sound from your instruments or at least control it, since it tends to clip the track. I dont agree too much with the drumkit niether, very basic kcik, nutin that distinguishes this track from the rest, you could also use a little more variation in your drumwork when hitting the snares and kicks. The hats are great though, keep those. Melody work and composition is decent, its also a very short track, very plain and basic, you could also try structuring it more by adding more synth lines, maybe some arps, backgrounding pads and effects, just to name a few suggestions. overall its an ok track, doesnt seem like much effort was put into it. I hope i helped out a bit, keep rokin reviewed on: 2006-07-11 06:29:57 |
| (response from artist) thanks for the input, the only thing i didnt agree on was the drumkit being basic, its repetitive but its far from a 4/4 beat with a hat. |
Do You Dirty (Club Mix) by Sonaris |
| 1 member(s) found the following review helpful: intro is a nice start, deep kick but could use a little more punch, luvin that groove. The bassline is raw, awesome elecrto vibe. the synths sound amazing, great structuring and vox work as well. Your real only flaw i detect is maybe just mastering, everyones number one enemy. Most of the volumes are ok, its just that compression is a bit too hard, the hats for instance though need to be mixed down a little bit, not too much. One tip u can try is resetting your compression settings on every channel and start adjusting the master first, then the rest of the compressors for the rest of the instruments. Also another thing u can add is one maybe 30 second breakdown, stop the percussion, play maybe just the synth and start bringin in everything like a rise, bang it for 30 seconds afterwards and then start ending it, just to add a little more creativity. other than that its a great track, the groove on this sucka is awesome, keep it how it is, mastering the track a little better alone will make this a bangin track, your not too far fropm getting sumtin like this signed, keep rokin reviewed on: 2006-07-11 06:22:30 |

Todd Simmons - Answer (Todd's No More Questions Mix) by Twelve |
| hell yea, bit crusher! I just started using a bit crusher in my productions recently. I like the way this track grooves with the phat percussion. The bassline comes in smooth, at 1:52 though the metal synth kinda stuck out when it began panning, that instrument could use a little mixing down in my opinion. the vox is dope, at 4:30 the rise is dirty as hell, awesome breakdown at 4:58. the ending was smooth, fading out all the instuments besides the percussion. overall its a pretty excellent track, mastering overall is pro. only suggestion is probably add a little more suprises like small breaks and drumrework but only a little with overwhelming the track. keep rokin todd reviewed on: 2006-07-05 17:53:38 |
Call to Rebirth by Firebrand |
| intro is a great bangin start, percussion is top notch. dont agree with the snare as much. the rise in the melodies are awesome. the melodies seems to overshadow the percussion with its loud sound, all you need to fix that problem is lower the melodies and higher the percussion volume bit a lil. Melody structure and performance is great, no flaws there. I like the falls and then how it rises back up. great track overall with slight mastering probs but nutin too serious, keep rokin firebrand! reviewed on: 2006-06-15 17:32:27 |
| (response from artist) thank's man. I can hear that need for the slight tweak now. Snare is actually the better snare that I have, or one that sounded the best with the track. All the others were a bit too harsh. Definitely though, thank's for the tip right there! |
Gimme by Bouchez |
| intro is a nice start, but try adding a lil more structure in the background, like percs of some kind on slight delay. Overall loudness could be improved, try highering the volume on all your instruments, strengthen the kicks by adding another kick with more punch ontop. overall other than mastering problems its a decent track, i especially like the vox effects u use in the track. Pads and melody riffs are also nice, overall a decent track. Overall mastering probs is that the track sounds dull and has no sharp edge, try to refine the mastering and you'll be able to bring out the tracks alot more. keep rokin bobby! reviewed on: 2006-06-14 01:55:13 |
Bassenstein by Phatso Brown |
| intro is bangin, great vibe you have going. The quality of the track is top notch so far, great vox and effects you use in the track as well. at 47 seconds i like how that bassline just blasts in. The whole track is nasty, great elektro funk house music. Try maybe adding a bit more backgrounding and structure and this will be perfect, keep rokin reviewed on: 2006-05-30 23:22:52 |
Unripelemon - Do it Right (Original Mix) by Mat Zo |
| the track is bangin! great epic vibe. The flanger, filtering, all the effects really set the track, great job on the mastering and mixing! Vox sample is awesome, pads and backgrounding all bring in the vibe, like the white noise effects yoo used as well. Prerfect track, great structure, i would like to get a hold of this track and spin it. As a house head to house head, dont touch anything, maybe remove some of the higher pitched melodies is all i could think of since it makes the track a bit too happy. Great job ul, keep rokin@ reviewed on: 2006-05-07 05:30:34 |
QUICK FIX by MIKE DA WIZARD |
| intro is a great start man, the vibe you bring in is sick, great latin tribal feel, funky as well. The vox is well mastered and pro as hell, great job on the mastering. The kick seems to distort a bit but not too much, try fixin that with some compression adjustments. Other than that this track is perfect, great vibe and a nice hook. The breaks are also a nice touch, could use a bit more delay on the white noise filtering effects. Great track overall, i'll try to stop buy and buy the mp3 sometime and start bangin this track. Stop by my profile sometime, keep rokin! reviewed on: 2006-05-07 05:01:19 |
