| Still rocking that beautiful classic trance man! Your style has improved so much. This sounds like something from Star Fox :D reviewed on: 2012-03-16 16:04:32 |

Straits of Anian by GTGordon |
| This reminds me of an old Atari video game mixed in with deep house vibes and grooves. I loved the way you incorporated different sounds and made them work well together. I think this could fit wonderfully in a new age lounge set. It has the right vibe you need to chill out and enjoy :) perfect stuff man. I think if you got the mixing down a bit tighter and upgraded that drum kick with something more housey, it would be 100%. reviewed on: 2011-10-05 15:36:07 |
| (response from artist) Thanks for your input. I'll make some changes and see what it sounds like. Straits of Anian has been popular on other sites, also Unrequited Love. Trying to make some different blends of elements to see what I get. Maybe start a new genre! who knows... |
Out in Deep Space by HFBeal |
| This reminds me of a Japanese video game I played before. I really dig this production style you incorporated here. I love your melody main because it works so well with your synths. This is incredible work indeed! I'm going to check out more of your stuff :D reviewed on: 2011-09-15 08:30:13 |
| (response from artist) Thanks dude, really happy you enjoyed it! Feel free to check out my other songs if you have the time. |
I Need a Miracle by radio jesus |
| Reve, you totally brought me into the Halloween mood. This track makes me think like Jason X or someone, seeking redemption from all the bad things they've done. Like I could see this in a psychological thriller too. Just a sick soundtrack with just the right amount of "scare" factor to really make you think. Powerful lyrics indeed! I also don't hear any major distortion but yet it still keeps a dirty dark sound. o.O perfection? reviewed on: 2011-09-14 13:10:31 |
| (response from artist) I'm surprised to see this track at number 4 this week. I was really doubting it but maybe I shouldn't. |
What a Scanner see's by Christoner |
| Hey Christoner. One thing I think you need to take out is the static wobbles. They are soo not needed dude. To make a dubstep track you must glitch and play around yes...but not so it becomes too droning. I think you could have threw in some fx's and a sicker, darker bassline. That wob sounds very uncompressed and heavy.
Try this. Build into the track with just the bass riding in, nice smooth percussion, and FX. Maybe bring in a vocal. Then have the drop come in and wob for a pit. That way it doesn't become so repetitious. Thanks for uploading and I can't wait to hear more for you dude. reviewed on: 2011-09-14 13:04:43 |
| (response from artist) i think i sent you a message on my phone instead of replying but as i already said thank you for the review any help i can get is greatly appreciated. by uncompressed do you mean the one bass kinda stands out from the rest? i understand it needs changes up though, a bit to repetitive |
Space Mechs by Joshlul |
| Well hello there good sir. Its a pleasure to meet you and hear your work on IDJ. I must say, this some totally experimental dubstep you have produced. Its almost ambient space trance with dubstep and experimental thrown together. Simply a tantalizing genre to behold. I think the lack of a rolling pad bassline that was more constant throughout the chorus parts made me a bit sad. But overall you really kept me entertained for 3+ minutes. Excellent work and its pretty darn clean too. Kudos! reviewed on: 2011-09-14 13:02:07 |
| (response from artist) It was a decision to not have a rolling bassline, because I felt like it took away from the dramatic effect of the bass hitting at the drop. Lol thanks, I try to be as original as possible! |
Mista Big Boom Ft. Carey Caruso by Gerald The Genius |
| This is astoundingly massive dude. The vocals fit with this like grape jelly and toast. Mastering/mixing down is a little on the peaky/clipping side but that can be fixed real quick in Audacity. If you just get clip detector and do some reshaping. But overall its CLEAN! I love it! Reminds me of Epic DragonBall Z fights with explosions everywhere. Boom boom! This and Oracle are my fave from you now! reviewed on: 2011-09-14 12:31:29 |
| (response from artist) Well look who it is, returning to IDJ with a vengance! Its good to see you reviewing. Lmao, im eatin a fuckin PB&J right NOW! Haha perfect timing. I could see this on some DBZ now that I think about it too. I might just put together another anime short with this. Oh yea after you clip it i would love your you to shoot it back my way so I can replace it this one with it. Thanks again for the rev meine freundin! |
Ellie Goulding - Starry Eyed (Toonz Trance Remix) by Toonz |
| Very Angelic Toonz :) although I think you could have chosen some better kicks and percussion. The ones you used now are a bit too distortion like for this beautiful remix. I think taking some vengeance kicks and tweaking those would be pretty sick ^_^ would make this pop even more. Great remix nonetheless though. Sorry for being distant :) just running some projects of my own these days. I will review more of your stuff :D reviewed on: 2011-09-11 22:50:57 |
| (response from artist) Wings!! You're alive!! I stopped by your profile to see what's new and it's all gone :( .. But I'm going to look into vengeance and see what the crack is. When are we gonna get to hear some stuff from you?? :))) thanks wings!! |
Games by Churpenstein |
| I'll steal some PPB words and say this track sounds fruity hehehe. Love you PPB. It has some really animeish elements that work well with the main vocals. Its odd I still hear some drum and bass with this trance, so it becomes sort of a hybrid track. The vocals however, are very weird at times hahaha. Almost like someone is learning english and stringing words together. You might want to align them smoother with some FX so people don't catch that. Overall though I think this is the first trance piece I've ever from you. Soo coool :) reviewed on: 2011-09-11 22:43:06 |
| (response from artist) Hey thanks for the rev chicky!!! The vocalist def has a thick accent of some sort....the chorus verse sounds a bit off I agree but that's how she sang it lol...what effects would you suggest? I haven't done a pure trance track in quite some time. Trance is where I started and dnb is where I am now so I guess i tend to mix the 2 a bit ;) Thanks for checking it out :) |
