| nice crisp kicks, bass is pretty funky. percussion is simple yet great. great vocal usage although i would have perhaps added a few more fx on the vocal with akon.. also, did you use an accapella or a direct rip of the vocal? for some reason for a second i thought i heard a little crackling... lead nice but repetitive glad you changed the layers a little later on as it kinda put me off. overall good effort. reviewed on: 2009-04-18 02:55:36 |

| used to love this song back in the days.

dont know alot about the synth stabs - i would have added a crap load more reverb on it.. then when the main synth lead kicks in... it would have worked a little better with the layers.
Got a little repetitive but nonetheless.. decent effort.

Air siren sounding pad adds a nice touch by the way... 3min mark goes off.. break down kicks are a little muzzled for my liking maybe crisp them up? otherwise, great work here. would go down well as a dub track within some of my house sets @ home nightclub! Love the pads, the square synth leads - and that (flute sounding thing which definately sets an ambience).. great to hear something mellow and relaxing rather than something banging in your ears. crisp stabs, crisp everything. | Great work here. Love the vocal effects/stutters - i think they suit perfectly i wouldnt even change them although i would only add just a little more reverb on the vocal itself so it doesnt sound a little sudden when it stops.. Very dirty love it regardless although needs maybe a little more progression.. Phat bass, breakdown a little short but catchy.. | Nice funky lead usage here. Very solid. Mastering top notch.. Vocal seems to not stand amongst the rest of the track.. you got the samples hitting alot of the frequencies than the vocal which should be almost on the same level but not doing so.. maybe amp the vocal up a tad add a little distort maybe this will give the track a complete different effect. make it a little dirtier perhaps? Also, after a while, the vocal hook seems to just dry out the track - yes the whole hook element works well but you need a better vocal structure - chorus, verses etc, give the track an element of being able to sing along to it.. thats where a true hook is captured. | (response from artist) Hey adrenaline..your so right with this one..but i sang the vocal merely to color the song and to create a positive feel. it really needs to be treated like a pop song and remixed down to simple pop arrangement. hopefully soon when my writing spree dries up i will get to it. i also tried a dirt vocal on "make you mine" so i wanted to try a clean run on this track. let me know if i like dirty better? thanks again adrenaline!! and thanks again for the veteran support:-) |

| Not liking the pitch on the bass how it sounds normal then seems to bend and speed up a tad.. just sounds a little out of place. 1min mark, brilliant.. very nice vocal structure/effects work. Went well with the rhythm. Couple things this track needs are a nice solid synth lead thats i guess a little more distinctive, also needs a bit more variation.
