Just got cdj 1000 mk2s and a rane tt56 mixer. I am planning on doing a session of my top trance songs that i've produced. Now my music is not in one key. It mostly varies from F,F#,G,G# and some times E,and D#. And my tempos vary from 134-140.

Does anyone have advice on how to make a smooth transition with different keys?

Should I start writing music in the same keys? If I do so and the bpms are still different then that wouldn't matter if they're the same keys because the pitch changes when changng the bpms.

Mixed In Key

the mixed in key system works great. The program doesn't change the music, it just gives you a system for easily finding which tracks will mix well (musically) together. Check it out

side note, if you're mixing on CDJ's you'll be able to hold the original pitch of the track even when you adjust the tempo, kinda a must for the system I'm speaking of. (Master Tempo button I think...)

perfect! exactly what I was referring too. I had something like this in mind since I know a bit about music theory.
This will come in handy! can't wait to try it out tomorrow.
