Forshay

Forshay is 29 year old multiple-website owner and music producer Barrie Anthony Adams. Growing up with the birth of UK Dance Music and has followed the its various forms and spin-off genres over the years, spending some years in the UK Garage scene,  to finally find a welcome home in Drum & Bass back where he started, but with a more soulful twist and funky feel. You will find a fast progression in his techniques, with a housey sounds for the fans of the smoother side of dnb, laced with intricate breaks and vibing b-lines to create a moving soundscape for the dancefloor.

history: I see myself as an artist first & foremost, however you take that, with a dj'ing past and a soul partnership with music. I spend my days always creating - full time designing websites and making music, something I've done for some 3 years on a part-time basis. I listen to & make most kinds of London/UK wide urban music, the emphasis being to utilise &/or create new sounds & phat breaks. To be original is an artform in itself. I feel my best listening to the more soulful sounds of drum & bass, and my goal is to be known on this circuit as somone who fits in to the mix just right, I don't take it lightly anymore, and am spitting out around 3-4 tracks a week, so I can get ideas down and out, with the real mix down coming with time or on demand. No messing around, life is too short. My direction is to get established within the Drum & Bass scene, as a producer, dj and with the website LiquidDNB.com, which I run with Primer from Broken Drum, to perfect my styles & to get my music out there to the masses. I'm heavily into d&b right now, sort of re-educating myself to futher my skills, spending each day listening to not much else.

influences: Always a music lover, Forshay started his passion for music way back when it all begun in the UK. I started my relationship with dance music at 11 years old, with the birth of acid house fueling the desire to nod my head. US Style House & Garage from 92-99 has been my biggest influence to date, so you'll find my music contains key elements of soulful and funky garage styles and sounds. There is also an influence of UK old skool hardcore/drum & bass, a kind of recognition nod to the hardcore/drum n bass pioneers who showed us all how its done and gave a solid base for our music to grow. Reaching my teenage years and catching this music forming was a buzz which never stopped, now I'm 29 and still jump up to jump up. Definately UK grown and fed and strive to continue the ways of the old days. Before dance music was Michael Jackson & Motown, my Mothers influence at work there, which remains to this day. My personal life revolves around my 6 year old daughter Shay, from whom I take my name. If you have a child you will know what great motivation they give, and my determination to be successful in the things I do comes directly from her. I dedicate all I do to Shay's future.
