Read my song reviews | Pros: Pads FX Hook About Reviewer: Composer I liked this. It has a lo-tek old school early 90s feel on the synth, which I really really dig. I think a bit more layering of the tracks would do it good though, I noticed you tried to keep it interesting with the fades and crescendos etc, and I appreciated that. That definitely added to the variety, I think a bit more tracks to vary the sound would do it good too. Otherwise man there's some quality stuff in here, especially the really nice blips at the end - I even kinda wanted that part to be a bit longer it was so sweet. I hear what you're saying about a lot of trance being bland etc, I'd say try not to conform to "trance" or some genre label and just maybe take varied inspirations. A lot of good in this track though - keep doin' what you're doin' and i'll watch out for new releases from you :). (Posted on: Nov 8, 2009) Song Attribute Ratings

Read my song reviews | About Reviewer: Producer DJ Hey Rapheal this is not your best piece, it starts off interesting and the gated/arp synth and pads are good but so much that doesn't work especially the composition key tuning there's incorrect transposition and is out of tune with parts and changes key signature around 1min 20sec. The bassline somehow you've got it distorted/saturated but not defined well in the mix atall. I think you over complicate things consentrating on placing more in your songs that confuse and conflict to the parts that are the music backbone (Chord progressions/melody/lead transposing) you should try and fit your work around music first with good base key changes and instruments of chords and leads that follow it correctly. Then once the music is in place then is the time to add synth fx sequences etc which would fit the music instead of the other way round. You do produce great sounds and do it well, if you start to notate these sounds better it would vastly improve your work musically. The acid/space sequence right at the end is the best bit. Music man music, no matter what the song, the music of it is first. (Posted on: Nov 2, 2009) Song Attribute Ratings
