Read my song reviews | Pros: Vocals FX Patches Pads Mastering About Reviewer: Fan Amateur Producer I could go into a dozen different things that I like about this track but I've got to say that most of all, the vocals are awesome... they have a drawn out, kinda crafty cunning sound that I've not heard since perhaps the post punk (into early breakdance) days of London... well, that and maybe the later influences... In many ways the lyrical pattern actually remind me a bit more of John Lydon's more fluid vocal patterns in the early to mid Public Image Ltd. era... bits of This Is What You Want This Is What You Get album come to mind. Its smoother though... I really don't know how to place the vocals entirely, but they are awesome.. very different. Which brings me to the second part... the music, flow, and overall feel of this one is very unique, very different, very fresh, and dare I say the potential to be quite a hit even radio wise if carefully released at the right time, right moment, etc. I'm not comparing the sound or the style to this particular band or single but in a way I could see it almost garnishing the same surprise release hit that was witnessed with The Ting Tings' Shut Up And Let Me Go... which I actually liked alot because it reminded me alot of the same era that this reminds me of... the same post punk/early breakdance England movement... note Captain Sensible's (of the Damned originally, yes) breakdance number Wot. To me The Ting Tings were a surprise release, considering what all was being churned out on the upper top 20 pop radio at the time, and this track of yours, with its quality mastering, curious feel, and friendly yet mysterious flow has the same success potential. Yes, this is one I'd love to have to play over and over again in the truck and expose to others.... this is one I would pay for quickly and easily in the store. (Posted on: Sep 12, 2009)

Read my song reviews | Overall nice idea, good structure, interesting sounds. The vocals need some work in the mix, they get lost under the bass/melody and should be brought forward. Also, I would EQ out the low end (<50hz) on the vox, as they clash with the bass. The sound is unique and fresh. Nice work. (Posted on: Sep 8, 2009)
