i was listening to a random evangelical radio show when the thought occured to me, 'jesus on the air'. then my mind started rearranging this idea until i was left with 'radio jesus' which i thought was a wonderful name for a new project. this is intended to convey stories about every day things in very different ways. you might notice that this new work still maintains a certain dark flare, but you might also notice that, lyrically, they are really just subtle twists of perspective on things that aren't dark at all...

i have retained all of my 'proserpine' tracks below for those who enjoyed them, but with 'radio jesus' i am striving for a new sound, which i think you will notice when comparing (if comparing at all). this is an exciting new project for me and now, armed with a slew of new plugins and generators, i am off to bring it to life...

Lyrics are borrowed heavily from one of my oldest songs. Musically, this may be one of the most pallatable tracks I've recorded. Nice Peter Gabriel style back up vox. Enjoy.

I'm digging the sort of minimal, sex groove of this one and also how it becomes sort of tribal with it's chant. I feel like the vocals are pretty right on here, too. I took some of Farace's advice and laid off on the chorus effect on the lead vox, in the main verses. There's only a touch of delay on them. I like the contrast between that and the choruses. The meaning of the song is a bit abstract; kind of using the symbolism of being in a comatic state to describe when two people disconnect in such a way that they aren't really seeing one another anymore.
