On March 6, a whopping 45,000+ fans descended on downtown Miami's beautiful Bayfront Park to witness The Ultra Music Festival. The Ultra Music Festival Experience will premiere nationwide on high definition (HD) as well as standard definition pay per view on May 28, 2004, reaching some 55 million U.S. homes (74% of all U.S. cable subscribers and virtually all satellite subscribers) through In Demand, DIRECTV, Dish, Cablevision and TVN. It will be available for a 45-day pay per view window at $19.95.

The Ultra Music Festival Experience will center on the concept of day turning to night. Running in chronological order, the day portion of the presentation will take the viewer on an exploration of the Ultra Music Festival grounds, Bayfront Park and UMF's 12 massive music areas. The day potion will take on a documentary feel to educate the viewer on what the festival is about and its sheer magnitude on a global scale.

Contrasting the day / documentary portion of the presentation, the night focuses on all the crazy things that happen at UMF when the sun goes down. Things pick up in intensity as the documentary vibe is replaced by a dizzying aural and visual presentation, all mixed in dynamic audio 5.1 Dolby and DTS Sound. The most talked-about Ultra performances from artists including Tiesto, Paul van Dyk, Rabbit in the Moon, Junkie XL, Tommy Lee and Adam F are presented in a live concert feel as the video art from acclaimed visual artist Vello Virkhaus (VJV2) is inter-cut with the footage.

I never ever buy PPV events, but I'm going to make an exception in this case... I'm sorry I missed this live!
