This London dance pop triad will surely chew you up and spit you out...into a moon walk. CHEW LiPS is dance pop paired with winsome techno beats. That coupled with the esoteric lyrical drive enhances the funky fresh attitude. Their freshman album ‘Unicorn’ dropped February 9, 2010 by the Family label. Beguiling front woman Tigs croons while Will Sanderson and James Watkins flex their multi instrumentalist muscles. CHEW LiPS are the presage of the next decade’s musical genius.

They produce an innovative, harmonic, and timeless mix which is exceptionally essential in solidifying longevity. The amaranthine quality of their sound is alluring. Unicorn is an album that can and should be listened to beginning to end. Many sound samples are potential club triumphs. Stand out tracks such as Toro, Karen, Play Together, Slick…who are we kidding, they’re all good. The band chose to leave some of their other singles off, which may not have been the best idea, but they have made this work. We’ll just cross our fingers for a rerelease profiling the loner jams.

This album delivers an ethos that has been lacking lately and provides a tasty mish mash of goodness. Let’s just hope this fizzy synth cocktail has a U.S. release date in the works.
