Music Industry Website DOS'd over Verdict

Activists attack ifpi.org in retaliation over Pirate Bay verdict.
The International Federation of the Phonographic Industry website ifpi.org has been brought to its knees by a vicious distributed denial of service attack. It is believed to be a result of the recent guilty verdict announced in the Pirate Bay piracy case. Discussions on the channel #tpb hosted by anonnet.org.
Anonnet.org admin coldblood made made a statement to The Register: "They want to get the message across that the IFPI can not mess with the internet and that the internet is serious business. This is very much like the Scientology thing started more than a year ago now."
On Friday April 17, Peter Sunde, Fredrik Neij, Gottfrid Svartholm and Carl Lundström of ThePirateBay.org were found guilty and sentenced to one year in prison and ordered to pay heavy fines for promtion of copyright infringement in this landmark case. The defendants intend to appeal.
