Benny Benassi, Paul Oakenfold, Moby Confirm New Year's LA Bash

KCRW presents Giant Maximus with Moby, Benny Benassi, Dirty South and Paul Oakenfold.

Already a distinguished staple in Los Angeles nightlife, GIANT MAXIMUS returns to its Francisco Street location for the third consecutive year for what will be the most anticipated and largest American 21+ New Year's Eve bash this holiday season. As in years past, GIANT MAXIMUS will feature the best in nightlife music artists including top-tier international DJs and alternative performers set under European ‘cirque’ style big tops with a climate-controlled capacity of 10,000 partygoers. This year the event is presented by KCRW and sponsored by MySpace Music and Metromix.

To ring in 2009, GIANT MAXIMUS will present three ear-blasting areas: the GIANT Stage featuring DJ sets by MOBY, BENNY BENASSI and DIRTY SOUTH plus a special early performance by PAUL OAKENFOLD; the DEEP Stage with MARK FARINA and MARQUES WYATT; and from the promoters of the HARD festivals, the premiere of the DESTRUCTO Stage hosting MICKEY AVALON, DIRT NASTY, TITTSWORTH, DESTRUCTO, FRANKI CHAN, PAPARAZZI, ANDRE LEGACY and BEARDO.

Situated on a seven-acre private site smack in the heart of downtown Los Angeles with the soaring skyscrapers towering above, GIANT MAXIMUS also offers the ‘Monster Midway,' presented by Monster Energy with high-flying acrobatics, psychedelic circus antics, amusements, games, carnival rides and, of course, the iconic GIANT Ferris wheel. The celebration begins at 7:00 pm and lasts until 4:00 am.
