history: Coach Roebuck knows what's up when it comes to house music. He's so fresh that instead of calling himself DJ, he calls himself Coach. Now that's funky fresh! The Coach puts the 'F' into "Funk" and the 'Y' into "Funky". His music hits the senses and sends the listener into a feel good frenzy. The temptation to dance while listening to Roebuck's jams is unavoidable. Coachs first gig was Phoenix 3, an electronic dance festival in the middle of West Virginia. His 45-minute set of hot mixing and a slamming track selection made heads spin. Thereafter, he began to build a house scene in his hometown, throwing weekly parties at the Edge Nightclub in Charleston, WV, before appearing as the summer's special guest DJ at the Pour House Sports Bar, located just outside of Charleston. The Coach eventually found locals with a similar passion for electronic dance music. As the buzz began to spread to other regions of the East Coast, the Coach was soon travelling between Chicago and Miami to show off his funky grooves. Today, the filtered funky house mix sessions continues. A slamming track selection, unique mixing ability and a shameless self-promotion scheme have allowed the Coach to attract a lot of attention in such a short time. Coach has not officially toured but has plenty of experience on the ones and twos. Future game plans include release an EP and touring to promote his music.

influences: Armand Van Helden & Bassment Jaxx got the Coach hooked on dance music. Since then, there's been a new appreciation for most styles of dance music. For example, Groove Armada, Daft Punk, Raoul Zerna, Full Intention, CZR, Dimitri From Paris, DJ Sneak, Funkstar De Luxe, Mark Farina, Paul Johnson, Phats & Small, Sucker DJs, Cassius, etc.
